Actions over Feelings

When reframing your self-talk:

Remember to focus on actions over feelings.

So if you want to take your self-talk to the next level, try adding something action orientated in there.

Something that answers the question:

"What can I do about this?".

Here’s an example.

⬇️⬇️⬇️

Negative self-talk

“My putting is terrible! I don't know what's going on. Everything feels wrong.”

Reframed self-talk with YET, BUT

“My putting is terrible! I don't know what's going on YET, BUT I'm going to talk to my coach on Monday and try some new drills.

I know there's a solution - I just have to find it.”

😁 😁 😁

See how the focus has shifted from how you feel to what you are going to do i.e.:

Talk to your coach on Monday, try some new drills.
